The view from our 18 acre farm southeast of Berthoud, CO is spectacular. We are only the fourth owners of this gorgeous and peaceful property. It was a dairy farm in the early 1900's and a small farmstead until Sam and Dianne MacDonald purchased it in the 1980's and spent years enhancing its natural beauty. Among other things, they moved buildings, added trees and grass and built the iconic working windmill. We purchased it in 2011 and have tried to continue to enhance the natural beauty of the farm. The Farmer and Adele grow produce, flowers, herbs, pumpkins and gourds. Our small flock of happy hens keep us well stocked with eggs (which are for sale, too) and we make our own jams, jellies, bath products, and herb salts that we sell at local farmer's markets and some shops in Berthoud. We have three friendly goats - Drake, Sochi and Nicky - who earn their keep by being incredibly curious and playful. Our best selling products are our herb salts - made from our farm-fresh herbs, garlic and kosher salt. Tuscan Herb Salt is a delicious blend of sage, rosemary, garlic and kosher salt. Scarborough Fair is (of course) parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme in garlic infused salt. Our Mediterranean blend has basil, parsley, sage, oregano and fennel in addition to garlic and salt. If you are looking to replenish your supply (we know how hard it is to keep from using it in everything!), email us or visit one of the shops in Berthoud that carry our products. During Farmer's Market season, we will add any special locations to our CALENDAR Page.
We enjoy preserving the uniquely American small farm experience.
